James 1:19-22

Therefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger: For the anger of man works not the righteousness of God. Therefore put away all filthiness and extreme wickedness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be you doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

This scripture is speaking directly to me today! As I am facing some major trials, I need remember this. As I am dealing with an angry unbeliever who could be dangerous, it is highly important that I stay calm and let God do His perfect work. Even if we feel slighted or in a corner, the answer is not always to come out “swinging” or in anger. Thanks be to God for showing me this this morning. His love will carry me.

Thanks, Greg, for this!! In ministry, Monday mornings can be tough as we wrap up all the loose ends that need to be handled from the weekend services. Attitude is everything so I appreciate this on this stormy Monday morning.
