Phillipians 3: 12-14

I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it,d but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

Sometimes the excuse, “I’m not perfect” seems to come up quite often. This is truth…none of us are perfect. Using it as an excuse does show immaturity though. We need to press toward perfection. Only by faith in our Lord can we do this. We need to pray at all times, and read the Word consistently. Someday we can reach perfection through the blood of Jesus.

Malachi 3:2

But who can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap.

Many of us say we are ready for Jesus to come, but are we really?  Will we be able to handle it? This scripture is quite clear that the Lord will be the cleanser. We are all dirty and need to be cleansed, but can we handle it. this is just something to consider today. All comments are welcome.
