1 Corinthians 16:22

If anyone doesn’t love the Lord, let him be condemned! May our Lord come!

¡Maranata!

Paul wrote this towards the end of his first letter to the Corinthians. They are very strong words, but needed to be said. there are times we need to hold some of our words back, but other times they need to be strong and with authority. Yes, those that do not love Jesus, they are cursed. We do not need to curse them, because they are cursing themselves. When someone says a stupid joke about Jesus, or takes his name in vain, do we laugh or let it go? We shouldn’t! Jesus is our Lord and Savior. Those people who do such things need to hear the truth. Don’t let our Lord be attacked! That is our responsibility.

1 Corinthians 12:20-25

But now there are many members, but one body. And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; or again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” On the contrary, it is much truer that the members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary; and those members of the body which we deem less honorable, on these we bestow more abundant honor, and our less presentable members become much more presentable, whereas our more presentable members have no need of it. But God has so composed the body, giving more abundant honor to that member which lacked, so that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.

Sometimes we think everyone in the church should be just like us. What makes us the right ones? Everyone in the church body has their place and their uses. No matter what you consider their downfalls, they are needed. Do we, instead of looking at their downfalls, look in the mirror at our own downfalls? We are one body and the body has many members, none of whom are the same, but we need each other. If you are the nose, you still owe respect to the little finger.

1 Corinthians 10:9

Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

Jesus cannot be manipulated. We are not to even try to manipulate Him. Jesus is God. God knows us and He will bless us if we walk the path He wants for us. Don’t tempt God!

1 Corinthians 9:18-19

What is my reward then? That preaching the gospel, I may deliver the gospel without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel. For whereas I was free as to all, I made myself the servant of all, that I might gain the more.

Our reward is watching more come to the knowledge that their only way to salvation is Jesus Christ. We don’t ask payment, nor goods, we just want Jesus and our Father God glorified and worshiped. We are not masters if we show the way, we are servants. Let’s serve our fellow man.

I want to lift up Father God, those who lost loved ones in the devastation in Moore, Oklahoma. Please comfort them. We do not understand why, but you know Lord. Our trust is in You. Let your Kingdom come.

1 Corinthians 15:3-8

3I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. 4He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said. 5He was seen by Peterc and then by the Twelve. 6After that, he was seen by more than 500 of his followersd at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died. 7Then he was seen by James and later by all the apostles. 8Last of all, as though I had been born at the wrong time, I also saw him.

Jesus is risen. Today is Easter, and Jesus is risen. He has shown Himself to all of us if we just look. Get out there today and worship Him. He deserves all worship.

1 Corinthians 10:1-4

1Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 4And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Jesus has been for eternity; it is quite evident here. Jesus was there when Moses split the Red Sea. Jesus will be there at the final outcome. Let’s worship and praise Him. Off to worship we go

1 Corinthians 9:24

Know you not that they who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? So run, that you may obtain.

We all have been given talents and gifts we can use towards God’s ultimate plan of eternity. Are we using them? Are we running the race? We need to use those talents, not bury them! The time is short and many still need Jesus.

1 Corinthians 15:24

Then comes the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

With the election ending last night, we must all realize that God is always mightier than all leaders and authorities. It really doesn’t matter who is in control of nations; God has the ultimate control. If any of these leaders disobey God, He can strike them down in a moment. Let’s trust Him, even if we don’t trust those that were elected.

1 Corinthians 8:9-13

9But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak. 10For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols; 11And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? 12But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ. 13Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

It comes to listening to God’s Spirit. There are things we can do that may not affect our relationship with God, but doing them it may affect another. We must be careful with our words and deeds to not mislead or deceive another. It is all about leading others to Glory.

1 Corinthians 10:12-13

Therefore let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.

It all comes down to trusting God. We are fallible and none of us have it “down pat”. God gives us the ways and His Word. If we stand upon it, He will guide us into His glory. Temptations will come and go and it shows our Father our faith if we do everything we can to stay from sin. He will show us the way out if we seek Him.
