Proverbs 28:20

A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.

Blessings are sometimes thought to be riches or material goods. I have learned there are many more blessings than things like that. Just the birds singing are a blessing. A smile from a little child is a blessing. A salute from a soldier is a blessing. The laughter of our mates is a blessing. Yes, sometimes money or a material item can be a blessing, but only when we realize it came from our Heavenly Father. Many who are rich are miserable, because they are always trying to protect those riches. Yes, Proverbs have many answers, do you read them consistently?

Proverbs 27:2

Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.

This proverb speaks quite well for itself, there is not a whole lot I can say that would make it any more clear. We need to lay our arrogance to the side. Our talents are not from our own merits, they are a gift from God.

Proverbs 22:1-2

1A good name is to be more desired than great wealth,
Favor is better than silver and gold.

2The rich and the poor have a common bond,
The LORD is the maker of them all.

A rich or famous person is no better in God’s eyes than a poor person. God cares and loves all of us the same. We are all His creation and He has plans for every one. He wants us all to know and trust Him. The rich can learn from the poor, and the poor can learn from the rich; the key to that is, only if God is in the middle.

Proverbs 1:7

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

It is not a fear as we fear other things, it is a greater fear. It is awe! God is all in all. He knows all, no matter what you are trying to hide, He knows. I praise You my Lord, my Savior and my King. Please have mercy upon our souls. In the name of the mighty Lord Jesus.

Proverbs 26:20

Where no wood is, there the fire goes out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceases.

It is gossip that causes the majority of problems. When gossip doesn’t happen, usually most problems soon fade away. Gossip has caused many of the most violent acts in history. Let’s all stay away from that evil thing called gossip.

Proverbs 26:27

Whosoever digs a pit shall fall in it: and he that rolls a stone, it will return upon him.

For those of us that have thoughts of revenge or attacking another person in secret, we need to take this scripture seriously. For those of us who have been attacked or certain individuals are devising plots against you, Trust God! Their own devices will come back upon them. When people lie against you, their lies will be uncovered. It may take a lot of time, but God does Justice in His time. His time is the best time. I have seen it and know. Praise His Holy Name!

Proverbs 28:26

He that trusts in his own heart is a fool: but whosoever walks wisely, he shall be delivered.

Since it is April fools day, this scripture fits. We sometimes think our way is the right way, but if we search God’s Word and through prayer, seek His way; that is wisdom. If we follow our own paths, it is foolishness. Don’t allow today to be recognized as YOUR day. Don’t be a fool.

Proverbs 28:25-26

He that is of a proud heart stirs up strife: but he that puts his trust in the LORD shall be prospered. He that trusts in his own heart is a fool: but whosoever walks wisely, he shall be delivered.

There is nothing we can do right without God; nothing. If we don’t have God with us, it may seem you are prospering, but not so. With God, even if things are tough, we are rich. Thank you my Father. Thank you for giving me 50 years of a blessed life with You. Praise You Jesus.

Sometimes we think our intuition is the answer to our decisions. Do we look at the Word of God on it? Do we pray? Trusting our heart or intuition can be foolish. Yes, if we live in God’s Word, our intuition may be right, but it is better that we check it completely before moving on.

Proverbs 18: 1-2

A man, having separated himself, seeks his own desire, and rages against all sound wisdom. A fool has no delight in understanding, but that his heart may express itself.

I have heard the old statement, “I need to find myself”. This is a lie straight from hell. We need to first seek God, and all the rest will come. Our wisdom and understanding comes from God and from His Word. There is no other way. Oprah and Dr Phil don’t have the answer, God does.
