Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death? For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives. Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was. We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin.
¿O no sabéis que todos los que hemos sido bautizados en Cristo Jesús, hemos sido bautizados en su muerte? Por tanto, hemos sido sepultados con El por medio del bautismo para muerte, a fin de que como Cristo resucitó de entre los muertos por la gloria del Padre, así también nosotros andemos en novedad de vida. Porque si hemos sido unidos a El en la semejanza de su muerte, ciertamente lo seremos también en la semejanza de su resurrección, sabiendo esto, que nuestro viejo hombre fue crucificado con El , para que nuestro cuerpo de pecado fuera destruido, a fin de que ya no seamos esclavos del pecado;
We are not dead…we are alive because Jesus is alive. So why do some of us live as though we are dead? Sin doesn’t live with or in us, and sin is death. Be renewed today. Ask Jesus for that renewal and be prepared to live.
I apologize that I have not been posting daily. First, I must ask your prayers in that we are in stress on how to go about adopting my Grandson Elijah. It is looking as if I may have to travel back to Missouri for some time. I need God’s affirmation and I know with your prayers, He will answer.
Secondly, you may know that I bought a website and have several sub-domains attached to it. The main site is gringoboricua.com.
One of those sub-domains is called The Mustard Seed. I recommend your subscription to it. Just click
Now on with this blog post:
When you were slaves to sin, you were free from doing what God approves of. What did you gain by doing those things? You’re ashamed of what you used to do because it ended in death. Now you have been freed from sin and have become God’s slaves. This results in a holy life and, finally, in everlasting life. The payment for sin is death, but the gift that God freely gives is everlasting life found in Christ Jesus our Lord.
No matter what, we are slaves to something. Are you a slave to sin or God? By being a slave to God, He gives us freedom. This may sound like a contradiction, but God’s ways are way beyond ours. Are you saved from that sinful past? Have you recognized that God loves you and wants you in His arms? If the answer is no, now is the time. Just ask and He will give; just knock and he will open. Death does not have to be a fear or reign anymore–Jesus Christ defeated it!
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that we should no longer serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.
To know Jesus completely, we too have to be crucified. We have to die. Sin will not have any power over us if we allow ourselves to die from the old ways. Let Jesus be King and Lord and die to the past.
1Him that is weak in the faith receive you, but not to doubtful disputations. 2For one believes that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eats herbs. 3Let not him that eats despise him that eats not; and let not him which eats not judge him that eats: for God has received him. 4Who are you that judge another man’s servant? to his own master he stands or falls. Yes, he shall be held up: for God is able to make him stand.
Many times, a new believer walks away because “old believers” try to throw law after law at them. Let the Holy Spirit do the work with new believers. It is not our place to judge them and tell them “how” to do it. God works with each of us in slightly different ways and we need to allow Him to. As long as a person confesses Jesus is Lord of their life, give them love and encouragement and God will do the rest.
19Now we know that whatsoever things the law says, it says to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
21But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22Even the righteousness of God which is by faith in Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him who believes in Jesus.
Oh God is so wonderful! It is only His Grace, ONLY! No other way, but through Jesus!
18If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. 19Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
It is sometimes very difficult to live around others. It all comes through the power of God. We must always try to live in love for all mankind, no matter what. Love the person and not the sin.
Know you not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that just as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
We are not the same as we were. We have Jesus in our hearts. We are new creatures, not full of sin, but washed in the Blood. Don’t dwell on past, but move forward in Jesus. Lets tell and show others the way; the good news; the Kingdom!
So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
When we give account to God on what was done on this Earth, it will be just you and God; me and God. Sometimes it gets easy for us to look around us and say, “so and so is doing this wrong, or so and so is going to Hell.” Really, who are any of us to pass any kind of judgement? Judgement comes from God, not us. Do we realize we all are sinners? We all have things wrong. The only thing that some of us have right is we have accepted Jesus in our hearts. Some haven’t and that is our responsibility; we need to tell them and allow them to choose. Judging them and telling them how much they are wrong in just gives them the power to judge us and find things we are wrong in. They will find things because we are just men and women and we are not perfect.
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
We try to consider how Heaven will be and we really have no idea. I see here that it is way beyond our understanding. There is NO comparison to the hardships we face and what God has in store for us. All praise and honor to God! Let His name reign all throughout the Earth. His Son, Jesus will show us the glory if we just trust and know He will.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
All our ways will just bring death. God, in His mercy, has given us a gift. It is not something we can work for. It is a gift and all we have to do is accept His gift. Eternal life is right in front of us wrapped with a beautiful bow. Will men and women take the gift and open it? There is no “good” you can do to earn eternity. You and I are not “good” enough. Thank You Father for the precious gift You have given us. I accept Your Son. Please guide me in Your righteousness.
