Lord, hear my prayer!

Listen to my plea!

Don’t turn away from me

in my time of distress.

Bend down to listen,

and answer me quickly when I call to you.

For my days disappear like smoke,

and my bones burn like red-hot coals.

My heart is sick, withered like grass,

and I have lost my appetite.

Because of my groaning,

I am reduced to skin and bones.

I am like an owl in the desert,

like a little owl in a far-off wilderness.

I lie awake,

lonely as a solitary bird on the roof.

My enemies taunt me day after day.

They mock and curse me.

I eat ashes for food.

My tears run down into my drink

because of your anger and wrath.

For you have picked me up and thrown me out.

My life passes as swiftly as the evening shadows.

I am withering away like grass.

But you, O Lord, will sit on your throne forever.

Your fame will endure to every generation.

A causa de Tu indignación y de Tu enojo; Pues Tú me has levantado y me has rechazado.

God has a plan. We sometimes just do not comprehend why we face hardships or difficulties, but His plan is true and sure. As we go through difficult times, let’s look upon Jesus and his endurance of the Cross. Nothing we are facing is even close to what He faced.

There is a reason, and our blessings will come. Trust and Faith in the Almighty is our main objective. If we do that, all will be well, because God’s plan will prevail.

Nehemiah 4:1-9

1But it came to pass, that when Sanballat heard that we builded the wall, he was wroth, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews. 2And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned? 3Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall.

4Hear, O our God; for we are despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity: 5And cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before thee: for they have provoked thee to anger before the builders.

6So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.

7But it came to pass, that when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, and that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very wroth, 8And conspired all of them together to come and to fight against Jerusalem, and to hinder it.

9Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them.

4 Oye, oh Dios nuestro, cómo somos despreciados.

Just like the Jews, we too have walls built around us to keep us from outer evil. At times, with our sin, we can make holes in these walls to allow the enemy passage in. Are we keeping our walls secure? We need to pray and read the Word and the walls God has built around us will stand firm and solid. As verse 9 says, we must set a watch with prayer. The evil ones are always looking for opportunities to break through the walls, but God gives us the strength and the way to keep the walls tight and strong.

Jeremiah 44:4-6

4Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate. 5But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods. 6Wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.

These words were not just for back then, they are for now too. Unless mankind starts listening and heeding what God wants, He will destroy all there is. He has allowed man to choose the path he wants to take and many are turning away from God. God has blessed us and many want to claim it was something else. Turn off the TV, put away the sin and deception that is controlling. Pick up the Bible and listen to the men and women of God! Bow down before Him and repent. It is not too late, but it is getting close.

Ephesians 4:26-27

Be angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.

The Bible has never said that being angry is a sin. How we deal with our anger can be sin though. I think many people have this confused. Jesus even showed anger when He turned the money changers tables over in the temple. If we let the Holy Spirit do the guidance, He will show us how to properly handle our anger. It is ok to be angry, but don’t go to sleep at night boiling in anger. Pray on it and let God show you how to handle that anger.

James 1:19-20

Therefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger: For the anger of man works not the righteousness of God.

This is directly speaking to me I know. Sometimes I am too quick to open my mouth and I don’t listen to what the other person is saying. Anger sometimes takes its bitter hold on me. Father, please forgive my downfalls and help me to love as You love. I ask this in the name of Jesus.
