2 Thessalonians 2:1-4

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Many think that this great falling away is people walking away from church. Could it be that churches themselves are falling away? That the Preachers and Pastors are “watering down” the Word? That they are more worried about having every seat full than telling the Word of God in fullness and Truth? To be very honest, this is what I see. We dare not hurt someone’s feelings because they are homosexual, or they had an abortion, or they still drink alcohol like fish or do drugs…at least they are in church. We better not preach about that this week because they may not come back.  Hey people, church is not a “feel good place”. It is where we come to worship Our Lord and Father and learn how we are supposed to walk, talk, and live. If I go to church and never feel conviction, I believe there is something wrong. If the Holy Spirit isn’t allowed in, that is a falling away. Yes, satan inhabits churches too. So where are you at with this? Where am I? Where is the church we go to?

As so many say….Just sayin

Ephesians 1:18-23

18The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Do we always realize just how much power and might our Lord Jesus has? God raised Him from the dead and gave Him all. He loves us and wants the very best for us. Why don’t we allow Him to work in our lives? Why is our faith so small at times? Trust in Jesus; He can and will do the best for us.

Colossians 3:23

And whatsoever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men

If we treat everything we do as if it is done for God, we will do it with passion and with pride. No matter what, if we do this, God will bless us.

Hosea 10:12

Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he comes and rains righteousness upon you.

This wisdom is for us all. This prophecy was for then, but also for now. It is time to seek Jesus. He will rain upon us righteousness if we do according to His will.

Isaiah 19:2

And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight everyone against his brother, and everyone against his neighbor; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.

Those who do not follow the true God will, end up in this condition. They will war with each other. We see it more and more in the world today. They attack and kill each other and God has put hate and enmity in their hearts. There is only one way out: the blood of Jesus Christ. We need to share His blood and watch them come away from hell.

Ezra 2:68-69

And some of the heads of the fathers’ houses, when they came to the house of the LORD which is at Jerusalem, offered freely for the house of God to set it up in its place: They gave according to their ability to the treasury of the work threescore and one thousand darics of gold, and five thousand minas of silver, and one hundred priests’ garments.

Everything we have belongs to God; He just lets us use it. We are to give towards the Kingdom when led too. You will know, because that small inner voice will tell you. Our will should always be God’s will. Having others to be able to worship God in a sanctified place should always be at the top of our list.

Ecclesiastes 12:14

For God shall bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

We cannot hide anything from God. He sees and knows all. Everything we do, say, or even think will be before Him at the judgement. Do we consider this in our everyday life? We need to. Praise be to God!

Isaiah 66:1-2

Thus says the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that you build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? For all those things has my hand made, and all those things have been, says the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembles at my word.

Who are we to tell God how to do things? We were made for His pleasure, not the other way around. If we bow before Him and enter His gates with humbleness, He will listen to our request. If we try to tell Him how to do it, whoa to us. Father, please forgive me for the times I have been a know-it-all, I ask that Your will and only Your will be done Lord. Thank You Father for all you are and have done. In Jesus’ name.

Acts 24:10-25

10Then Paul, after that the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, answered, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself: 11Because that thou mayest understand, that there are yet but twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem for to worship. 12And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither raising up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city: 13Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me. 14But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets: 15And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. 16And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men. 17Now after many years I came to bring alms to my nation, and offerings. 18Whereupon certain Jews from Asia found me purified in the temple, neither with multitude, nor with tumult. 19Who ought to have been here before thee, and object, if they had ought against me. 20Or else let these same here say, if they have found any evil doing in me, while I stood before the council, 21Except it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Touching the resurrection of the dead I am called in question by you this day.

22And when Felix heard these things, having more perfect knowledge of that way, he deferred them, and said, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will know the uttermost of your matter. 23And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him.

24And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, which was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ. 25And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.

Just like Paul, when we are accused of things not true or of God, He will give us the words to speak and our defense. There are many who, through satan, want to lie about us and take us down. We are not to use violence, but we are to let God do His perfect work.

Titus 2:7-8

In all things showing yourself a pattern of good works: in doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is an opponent may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

No matter what someone may be saying about us, if we follow this Word of God, all will work out. God will keep us and lead us. If this is always our intention, God will be with us.
