1Kings 8: 54-61

And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven. And he stood, and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying,

Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant. The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us: That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers. And let these my words, wherewith I have made supplication before the LORD, be nigh unto the LORD our God day and night, that he maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require: That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else. Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.

Solomon showed us here how we can come to God in a way that is pleasing to our Maker. He does hear us as long as we walk as sons and daughters of Him. We must always support God’s people Israel no matter what the world tells us. We also must always be willing to claim Him in everything. As the last 2 verses say…there is no other God, and our hearts must be right and perfect before Him. How is your heart with God?

Ecclesiastes 6: 10-12

That which hath been is named already, and it is known that it is man: neither may he contend with him that is mightier than he. Seeing there be many things that increase vanity, what is man the better? For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?

With all the latest news in the world, I have been depressed. I think on these words from Solomon who had everything he possibly could want, but his soul was in anguish. The answers to Solomon’s questions are actually very simple, but we make it so difficult….JESUS. Yes, Jesus is mightier than we. Yes, Jesus is the one who knows what is good for us in this short time we spend on Earth. Yes, Jesus can, and does tell us what is better for us. Yes, it is sad that the Supreme Court ruled in favor for marriage not adorned by God, but what about all the other garbage? How many Christians are watching the unhealthiness on the television sets? How many Christians are bypassing what the Holy Spirit is telling them? I want to just simply ask:

Will God Find Even 1 Who Is Righteous?

Ecclesiastes 11:5

As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.

There are those times when we think we completely understand God, and we have the world by the tail. It is usually at that moment when things start to come unraveled and fall apart. Why? Because we don’t have it all down pat! If we did, we wouldn’t be on this Earth. Who are we to question God? Who are we to argue with the way He wants things done? Do we know better? God forbid!

Father God, I ask your Holy forgiveness for the times I think my way is better. Please keep guiding and blessing me. Your way is the only way; the only way to glory and true freedom. Oh Father, thank you for your precious love of me.

Genesis 6: 5-13

And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Y engendró Noé tres hijos: a Sem, a Cam y a Jafet.

So much of what we see and hear today could very well be very similar to the days of Noah. Will God soon repent of making us? He has already stated that He will not destroy the earth with water again. When He does it this time, it will be with fire. He is giving us chance after chance to turn from evil, but it seems the evil grows. Please, if you are listening, turn and bow before God. He desires our worship and love. Please, before it is too late!

Jeremiah 51:15-16

He made the earth by His power,

established the world by His wisdom,

and spread out the heavens by His understanding.

When He thunders,

the waters in the heavens are in turmoil,

and He causes the clouds

to rise from the ends of the earth.

He makes lightning for the rain

and brings the wind from His storehouses.

God is all powerful and we sometimes act as if we have control. We have no control. All is in His hands. As Obama tries to “fix” Syria, we must pray that God does the work. It is not America who needs to “fix” it, God will do the “fixing.” If God’s people will bow to Him and seek His wisdom, all will come out the way it is supposed to. the key is to seek Him. Help others know Him, and we will overcome.

Psalm 46:1-3

1God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

2Therefore will we not fear, though the earth do change, And though the mountains be shaken into the heart of the seas;

3Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, Though the mountains tremble with the swelling thereof. Selah

y aunque los montes se deslicen al fondo de los mares;
3 aunque bramen y se agiten sus aguas,
aunque tiemblen los montes con creciente enojo.

Selah
Dependency and trust in God is our main priority. Without Him, we have and are nothing. No matter the circumstances, if we put our trust in Him, we will overcome. Pray this prayer and trust that He will!

Psalm 73:22-25

22So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before you.

23Nevertheless I am continually with you: you have held me by my right hand.

24You shall guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

25Whom have I in heaven but you? and there is none on earth that I desire beside you.

22 entonces era yo torpe y sin entendimiento;
era como una bestia delante de ti.
23 Sin embargo, yo siempre estoy contigo;

No matter what, because I have accepted Jesus, God accepts me. He will hold us up no matter the circumstances. To God be the Glory!

Psalm 49:6-7

They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches; None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him

Our wealth and material goods mean nothing. They really don’t mean squiddily. God doesn’t care about what we have, but He cares about our hearts. Do we trust Him? Sometimes He allows us not to have so that God can show us the blessings and grace He offers so freely. We need to trust Him. He is really all we need.

Luke 12:15

And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consists not in the abundance of the things which he possesses.

The world leads to believe that possessing more is good. This is untrue. Material goods and piling them up are not the way to have happiness and joy. Sure, some are blessed with more than others, but it can be wrong to want and want. Our want should be more of our Savior. He will provide all we need. If He provides a lot, He is most likely asking you to use those extras to help others. God will show you if you just ask and seek.

Ephesians 6:1-3

1Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. 2Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) 3That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

No matter our age, our parents are wiser. We must heed their words and God will bless us. I look back at the times that I didn’t listen to my parents and I see how things went wrong. If I would have listened, the outcomes would have been better. God is our ultimate parent and this scripture also speaks to us in obeying Him. If we do, long and fruitful life will be given to us.
