For the word of God is living, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
This Word you read and hold knows your inner thoughts and being. If you give it all; yes, it ALL to God, He will purify and make you clean. Give your thoughts and desires to Him. He loves you.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not nullify the grace of God: for if righteousness comes by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
As is pointed out here, it’s all about Jesus and the gift of grace He gave us. There is nothing we can do that will make us “good” in the eyes of God. We are naturally evil, but God’s grace through His precious Son has given us a new life. Accept and cherish the Gift.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
This is a promise from our Lord and Savior. I can testify that it is true. The Holy Spirit will guide us when adversity comes and it is easier. We find ways to deal with problems the way God would have us and it is much better and easier. If you have not accepted Jesus in your heart–today is the day; right now is the time.
5If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
If we seek God and all His ways, He will be with us and lead us. If we are “walking a fence” He will not hear us and help. He loves us and wants our worship and faith. If we waver on our faith when times get easy, He sees it and when we have tough times and cry out to Him, He will let the chips fall where they will. Keep the faith and let God reign!
1In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. 2For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. 3Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
Everything we do, say, write, or think will be out in the open. All will be known, but do we consider that? We should.
And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consists not in the abundance of the things which he possesses.
The world leads to believe that possessing more is good. This is untrue. Material goods and piling them up are not the way to have happiness and joy. Sure, some are blessed with more than others, but it can be wrong to want and want. Our want should be more of our Savior. He will provide all we need. If He provides a lot, He is most likely asking you to use those extras to help others. God will show you if you just ask and seek.
Pilate therefore said unto him, Are you a king then? Jesus answered, You say that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth hears my voice.
Power hunger is a major cause of sin and destruction. Here we saw that was all the heads were worried about when they took our Lord to the cross. Is power something you want? Power and control over people is not a healthy goal to have. If we give our lives to God and bow down to Jesus, the goals you will want and have will come into line with God’s will. Seek God, not man’s ways.
1Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. 2Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) 3That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
No matter our age, our parents are wiser. We must heed their words and God will bless us. I look back at the times that I didn’t listen to my parents and I see how things went wrong. If I would have listened, the outcomes would have been better. God is our ultimate parent and this scripture also speaks to us in obeying Him. If we do, long and fruitful life will be given to us.
Woe unto him that builds his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that uses his neighbor’s service without wages, and gives him nothing for his work
Manipulation is not a way to get ahead in this world. Many people use manipulation to get what they want. It may work for awhile, but God knows and will make things right.
That no man transgress and wrong his brother in any matter: because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
There are many people out there taking advantage of other people. We are not to do such things if we are a Christian. Using others to pay what you should be paying or just manipulating for your gain is of the world and the devil: Not God! Look deep down and see if you are doing any of this and make amends, it is the way Christ would want you to handle it.
