Psalm 107:8-13

8Let the mercies of the Lord give glory to him: and his wonderful works to the children of men.

9For he hath satisfied the empty soul, and hath filled the hungry soul with good things.

10Such as sat in darkness and in the shadow of death: bound in want and in iron.

11Because they had exasperated the words of God: and provoked the counsel of the most High:

12And their heart was humbled with labours: they were weakened, and their was none to help them.

13Then they cried to the Lord in their affliction: and he delivered them out of their distresses.

God makes it so easy. Just like a perfect Father, He just wants you to cry out to Him. He will save you from misery if you seek Him. It doesn’t mean everything will be easy, but with God holding you, He will show you the path that will be best for you.

Philippians 4:11-13

11Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. 12I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

God allows us to be in situations that at times, we do not understand. Everything will work for His glory when we allow Him to guide us. At times, it may mean going without or having difficult situations, but God will take care of us if we trust in Him. All will be His will and we are here to do His will. Thank You Jesus for the strength You give.

Matthew 25:35-40

For I was hungry, and you gave me food: I was thirsty, and you gave me drink: I was a stranger, and you took me in: Naked, and you clothed me: I was sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we you hungry, and fed you? or thirsty, and gave you drink? When saw we you a stranger, and took you in? or naked, and clothed you? Or when saw we you sick, or in prison, and came unto you? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Since you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.

I just wrote a hub on this very subject: Mission At Home. Are we feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty? Are we taking in strangers, clothing people with little or no clothes? Do we visit the sick or prisoners? We must each ask ourselves those questions. Instead of judging or looking at each other, let’s look in a mirror.

Father God, please help me be more like your Son Jesus daily. Help me do all that You want from me. You have done so-so much for me. Thank You!
