Job 1:20-21

Then Job arose, and tore his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshiped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return there: the LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

Job understood something here that we all need to understand; God will and does do what is best to complete His will. We may not understand, but there is a good reason. God’s plan will reign over any plans we may have. If God deems fit that everything we have be taken away, He knows best. If God gives us material blessings, it too, is in His plan. No matter the circumstances, He is our Father and knows best. All praise to God!

Matthew 25:35-40

For I was hungry, and you gave me food: I was thirsty, and you gave me drink: I was a stranger, and you took me in: Naked, and you clothed me: I was sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we you hungry, and fed you? or thirsty, and gave you drink? When saw we you a stranger, and took you in? or naked, and clothed you? Or when saw we you sick, or in prison, and came unto you? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Since you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.

I just wrote a hub on this very subject: Mission At Home. Are we feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty? Are we taking in strangers, clothing people with little or no clothes? Do we visit the sick or prisoners? We must each ask ourselves those questions. Instead of judging or looking at each other, let’s look in a mirror.

Father God, please help me be more like your Son Jesus daily. Help me do all that You want from me. You have done so-so much for me. Thank You!
