1 Timothy 1: 5-8

The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. Certain persons, by swerving from these, have wandered away into vain discussion, desiring to be teachers of the law, without understanding either what they are saying or the things about which they make confident assertions. Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully

It is easy for us as Christians to get caught up in pointing fingers at others. We see a sin or a mistake they make and we forget how many we have made. Are we living in the Holy Spirit or in the law?

Hebrews 12:1-2

1Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Sometimes it is easy for us to allow the stress and cares of the world to overtake us and we don’t listen to the Holy Spirit. We are in a race and our goal is to run that race to the best of our ability. How do we do that? We listen to our coach. Who is our coach? Jesus is our coach. He lived it too. He knows what we face and He understands. If you fall, pick yourself up and listen to the coach–run and run. Your faith will give you strength. Look at the prize, because you WILL win if you listen to the coach–JESUS CHRIST.

1 Thessalonians 5:14-15

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are idle, encourage the faint-hearted, support the weak, be patient toward all men. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

We have certain things the Lord calls us to do. We need to help our fellow men and women in the Lord. when we see someone down, we help pick them up.

Hebrews 12:1

Therefore seeing we also are surrounded with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily ensnare us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us

These are very clear instructions for us. We need to keep praying and doing what God wants for us. It is a fight, a battle, but He gives us the tools to succeed and win this race. God, help us in these times and let Your Holy Spirit dwell in us and guide us. In the name of Jesus.

It is easy to get caught up in how we once were and not what Jesus has blessed us with now. People are watching us, but do we watch ourselves? Are we acting and speaking and writing how Jesus would want us to? I needed this today. Thank You Lord.

Revelation 3:10-11

Because you have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which you have, that no man take your crown.

Thank You Jesus that You have taught me so much. I know that with our Word, I can stand. I needed this today; Praise You!

2 Corinthians 6:4-10

But in all things presenting ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in watchings, in fastings; By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by love unfeigned, By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, By honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true; As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

This scripture means so much and I needed it this morning. I have had attacks and deceptive sayings have been waged upon me. I will just keep looking to Jesus and will pray the Holy Spirit’s guidance on my words and actions. Father please forgive me if I have been out of line and cleanse all. God keeps us and He has His reasons for all things. My trust lies in Him and only in Him!

When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, it doesn’t mean everything is going to be “jim dandy” here on Earth for us. There will be those who come against us. Our duty is to stay in prayer and in the Word and to keep on keeping on. We need only look at the end and our reward; everlasting life with God. God has us in His palm and as long as we don’t jump out of it, all things will work in His will. No matter if we are beat, imprisoned, or even killed, it is God’s will and will work towards that perfect end. Oh Father, help me to always trust and rely on You and only You! Praise you God; In Jesus’ name!

Psalm 40:1-3

I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. And he has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Patience can be difficult, but worth it. God hears our cries; He sees our heartaches. I know He will bring us through; He has me through many things. Trust in Him and wait patiently, His power and might WILL overcome and all will bow and worship Him.
