Joel 2:12-27

As I opened the Word, this scripture in Joel was enlightened. Please read it carefully and share. We are called to repent!

Therefore also now, said the LORD, turn you even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:

And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn to the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repents him of the evil.

Who knows if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering to the LORD your God?

Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:

Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.

Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare your people, O LORD, and give not your heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: why should they say among the people, Where is their God?

Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people.

Yes, the LORD will answer and say to his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and you shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:

But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill smell shall come up, because he has done great things.

Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things.

Be not afraid, you beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree bears her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.

Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he has given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.

And I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

And you shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that has dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

And you shall know that I am in the middle of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

 Aun ahora–declara el SEÑOR
          volved a mí de todo corazón,
          con ayuno, llanto y lamento.
 Rasgad vuestro corazón y no vuestros vestidos;
          volved ahora al SEÑOR vuestro Dios,
          porque El es compasivo y clemente,
          lento para la ira, abundante en misericordia,
          y se arrepiente de infligir el mal.
 ¿Quién sabe si volverá y se apiadará,
          y dejará tras sí bendición,
          es decir, ofrenda de cereal y libación
          para el SEÑOR vuestro Dios?
 Tocad trompeta en Sion,
          promulgad ayuno, convocad asamblea,
    y digan: Perdona, oh SEÑOR, a tu pueblo,

          He aquí, yo os enviaré grano, mosto y aceite,
 No temas, oh tierra, regocíjate y alégrate,
          y alegraos en el SEÑOR vuestro Dios;
          porque El os ha dado la lluvia temprana para vuestra vindicación,
          y ha hecho descender para vosotros la lluvia,
          y alabaréis el nombre del SEÑOR vuestro Dios,
          que ha obrado maravillosamente con vosotros;
          y nunca jamás será avergonzado mi pueblo.
          y que yo soy el SEÑOR vuestro Dios
          y no hay otro;
          nunca jamás será avergonzado mi pueblo.

We also need to repent. We need to fall on our faces before the Lord. God will bless us and keep us as long as we turn all of ourselves over to Him. Let the ears hear!

Psalm 80

1 Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel,
you who lead Joseph like a flock!
You who are enthroned upon the cherubim, shine forth.
2 Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh,
stir up your might
and come to save us!

3 Restore us,a O God;
let your face shine, that we may be saved!

4 O Lord God of hosts,
how long will you be angry with your people’s prayers?
5 You have fed them with the bread of tears
and given them tears to drink in full measure.
6 You make us an object of contention for our neighbors,
and our enemies laugh among themselves.

7 Restore us, O God of hosts;
let your face shine, that we may be saved!

8 You brought a vine out of Egypt;
you drove out the nations and planted it.
9 You cleared the ground for it;
it took deep root and filled the land.
10 The mountains were covered with its shade,
the mighty cedars with its branches.
11 It sent out its branches to the sea
and its shoots to the River.b
12 Why then have you broken down its walls,
so that all who pass along the way pluck its fruit?
13 The boar from the forest ravages it,
and all that move in the field feed on it.

14 Turn again, O God of hosts!
Look down from heaven, and see;
have regard for this vine,
15 the stock that your right hand planted,
and for the son whom you made strong for yourself.
16 They have burned it with fire; they have cut it down;
may they perish at the rebuke of your face!
17 But let your hand be on the man of your right hand,
the son of man whom you have made strong for yourself!
18 Then we shall not turn back from you;
give us life, and we will call upon your name!

19 Restore us, O Lord God of hosts!
Let your face shine, that we may be saved!

3Oh Dios, restáuranos; y haz resplandecer tu rostro, y seremos salvos.

Haz resplandecer tu rostro, y seremos salvos.

This Psalm is so beautiful. A song of desire for God to come down and be in the hearts of man. To be our breath, our life, our whole being. We cannot live without God. If He is not within, we are without; we are dead without Him. Sure our heart may be beating and we may be walking, but without Him, we are zombies. Sing this song today. Praise our God!

Galatians 6:1-2

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering yourself, lest you also be tempted. Bear you one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

We sometimes can be very critical of others faults, not realizing our own. Do we consider that we can fall too? It is ok that we point out, but with love and understanding. God will bless us if we do it His way and not our own.
