And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven. And he stood, and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying,
Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant. The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us: That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers. And let these my words, wherewith I have made supplication before the LORD, be nigh unto the LORD our God day and night, that he maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require: That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else. Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.
Solomon showed us here how we can come to God in a way that is pleasing to our Maker. He does hear us as long as we walk as sons and daughters of Him. We must always support God’s people Israel no matter what the world tells us. We also must always be willing to claim Him in everything. As the last 2 verses say…there is no other God, and our hearts must be right and perfect before Him. How is your heart with God?
That which hath been is named already, and it is known that it is man: neither may he contend with him that is mightier than he. Seeing there be many things that increase vanity, what is man the better? For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?
With all the latest news in the world, I have been depressed. I think on these words from Solomon who had everything he possibly could want, but his soul was in anguish. The answers to Solomon’s questions are actually very simple, but we make it so difficult….JESUS. Yes, Jesus is mightier than we. Yes, Jesus is the one who knows what is good for us in this short time we spend on Earth. Yes, Jesus can, and does tell us what is better for us. Yes, it is sad that the Supreme Court ruled in favor for marriage not adorned by God, but what about all the other garbage? How many Christians are watching the unhealthiness on the television sets? How many Christians are bypassing what the Holy Spirit is telling them? I want to just simply ask:
Will God Find Even 1 Who Is Righteous?
Let the conclusion of all of these thoughts be heard:
Fear God and obey his commandments,
for this is what it means to be human.
For God will judge every deed,
along with every secret,
whether good or evil.
sea bueno o sea malo.
Solomon was very wise, but he did have his issues like all of us. Much of Ecclesiastes can show depression and negative thoughts of life. It is here at the end of the book that Solomon comes back into very wise thoughts. We all have to stand, no kneel before God and face everything we have done throughout life. This can be a disturbing thought if really considered. God knows all and sees all. It doesn’t have to be disturbing though if we react with a desire to do right and to bow before Him and seek God’s forgiveness.
No matter what, who, why, how, or any of those, God sent His perfect Son for every one of us.
God, please help me to quit looking at others and to look in the mirror at me. Help me please to be right and clean in your eyes. Thank you Daddy God for holding me and growing me. Please keep showing me the path you want for me.
All Praise and Honor to God!
