John 16:22

And ye therefore now have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no one taketh away from you.

There is sorrow and grief in this world, but when we have Jesus as our Lord and Savior, these sorrows are just for a short time. We have Him to look toward and forward to. Joy is coming and soon!

Psalm 13

1How long, O LORD? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?

2How long shall I take counsel in my soul, [Having] sorrow in my heart all the day? How long will my enemy be exalted over me?

3Consider [and] answer me, O LORD my God; Enlighten my eyes, or I will sleep the [sleep of] death,

4And my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,” [And] my adversaries will rejoice when I am shaken.

5But I have trusted in Your lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.

6I will sing to the LORD, Because He has dealt bountifully with me.

1 «Al Músico principal: Salmo de David» ¿Hasta cuándo, Jehová? ¿Me olvidarás para siempre? ¿Hasta cuándo esconderás tu rostro de mí?

2 ¿Hasta cuándo pondré consejos en mi alma, con ansiedad en mi corazón cada día? ¿Hasta cuándo será enaltecido mi enemigo sobre mí? 3 Mira, óyeme, Jehová Dios mío; alumbra mis ojos, para que no duerma en muerte;

I must admit, I am feeling similar emotions as David was. I cry out to You Father God. We need Your miraculous power to shine forth upon us. Please guide us with Your strong hand and help us in these times.

2 Corinthians 7:10-11

For godly sorrow works repentance to salvation not to be regretted: but the sorrow of the world works death. For behold this same thing, that you sorrowed after a godly sort, what earnestness it worked in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what full punishment! In all things you have proved yourselves to be pure in this matter.

There is a lot of sorrow. Some sorrow is of God and some is of the world. God does not want us to have sorrow, but He uses it for His good and for a tool to fulfill His Kingdom. The world’s sorrow is not for us who trust in Jesus. There is good and bad of all; look at the words listed in the last half of this scripture. there is good indignation; there is good revenge. If we allow the Holy Spirit to guide us, the good will overwhelm the world’s ways. We are overcomers in Christ Jesus, our Lord!

2 Corinthians 7:10

Sometimes we don’t understand sorrow, but there are two kinds; the world’s sorrow and God’s sorrow. The first leads to death and destruction and the second leads to everlasting life. When we are sorrowful, we should take a hard look as to why. Is it the world’s sorrow or are we being sorrowful because of something God put on our hearts? There is no sorrow in heaven and if we trust God, we will know that experience. It is coming soon!

Psalm 39:1-3

I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked are before me. I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred. My heart was hot within me, while I was meditating the fire burned: then spoke I with my tongue

Our tongue and our words can do a lot of damage. There is a time we just need to shut up. I have had to learn this in many ways. The key is: are we listening to the Holy Spirit or are we just listening to our own brains? Even worse, are we helping satan with our words? There is a time to speak, and there is a time to let things go and just keep it shut. What is that “still, small voice” saying to you. What is the Holy Spirit saying to me. Lord, help us guard our words and help us be wise in knowing when to speak and when not to. In Jesus’ name I pray.

Acts 20:28

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he has purchased with his own blood.

It is our responsibility to follow the Holy Spirit’s direction and to feed the people in our midst. God has blessed us with the tools and the means; we must feed them. I speak not about physical food, but spiritual food. What God shows us in His Word, we are to pass on to the others. We are not to hold it to ourselves. Let’s go feed and enjoy God’s gifts to us!

Revelation 21:3-6

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is thirsty of the fountain of the water of life freely.

We have assurance from God Himself that He will! He does! He always will! All we need to do is to thirst and to seek His pure water. God is in control and we as His offspring need to put our trust and faith in Him. Know that pain will go; mourning will go, tears will go. Death will be defeated, it already has and diseases will all pass away. Love will reign! Trust and know He is and always has been. The Alpha and Omega; our Lord and Savior; Our God who lives and reigns forever more!. Praise God!
