Judges 2: 1-3

//

Now the angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim. And he said, “I brought you up out of Egypt and led you into the land which I have sworn to your fathers; and I said, ‘I will never break My covenant with you, and as for you, you shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; you shall tear down their altars.’ But you have not obeyed Me; what is this you have done? “Therefore I also said, ‘I will not drive them out before you; but they will become as thorns in your sides and their gods will be a snare to you.’”

We often wonder why God allows murders, terrorist activities, and wars. look at this passage; if we as humans would listen and follow the path God tells us to take, all will be well. The Israelites did not follow all that God told them and this is why the world is the way it is. It isn’t all their fault. We all have not listened to God at times and generations to come will pay for our non-adherence. God gave us freewill and in some ways it has made things difficult; not because God gave it to us, but because we use our freewill for greed and our own pride. We all must not blame God…we need to look in the mirror and blame the one who really is at fault. It is my fault Father, and I ask you to step in and fix the screw ups I have made. Praise You God!

Ezekiel 2:6-8

6And you, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with you, and you do dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house. 7And you shall speak my words to them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious. 8But you, son of man, hear what I say to you; Be not you rebellious like that rebellious house: open your mouth, and eat that I give you.

We can, at times, be in a position of speaking or being around people that are mean and try to trap us with their words and actions. We must stand with God’s Word and not be afraid of these people. We cannot fear satan or any of his workers. We are warriors with Jesus as or Chief Commander. Lets act like the soldiers we are and speak the Words that God gives us.
