1 Corinthians 12:20-25

But now there are many members, but one body. And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; or again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” On the contrary, it is much truer that the members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary; and those members of the body which we deem less honorable, on these we bestow more abundant honor, and our less presentable members become much more presentable, whereas our more presentable members have no need of it. But God has so composed the body, giving more abundant honor to that member which lacked, so that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.

Sometimes we think everyone in the church should be just like us. What makes us the right ones? Everyone in the church body has their place and their uses. No matter what you consider their downfalls, they are needed. Do we, instead of looking at their downfalls, look in the mirror at our own downfalls? We are one body and the body has many members, none of whom are the same, but we need each other. If you are the nose, you still owe respect to the little finger.

Romans 14:1-4

1Him that is weak in the faith receive you, but not to doubtful disputations. 2For one believes that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eats herbs. 3Let not him that eats despise him that eats not; and let not him which eats not judge him that eats: for God has received him. 4Who are you that judge another man’s servant? to his own master he stands or falls. Yes, he shall be held up: for God is able to make him stand.

Many times, a new believer walks away because “old believers” try to throw law after law at them. Let the Holy Spirit do the work with new believers. It is not our place to judge them and tell them “how” to do it. God works with each of us in slightly different ways and we need to allow Him to. As long as a person confesses Jesus is Lord of their life, give them love and encouragement and God will do the rest.

1 Corinthians 8:9-13

9But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak. 10For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols; 11And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? 12But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ. 13Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

It comes to listening to God’s Spirit. There are things we can do that may not affect our relationship with God, but doing them it may affect another. We must be careful with our words and deeds to not mislead or deceive another. It is all about leading others to Glory.
