Job 3

Start Speaking any Language in 10 Days

At last Job spoke, and he cursed the day of his birth. He said:

“Let the day of my birth be erased,

and the night I was conceived.

Let that day be turned to darkness.

Let it be lost even to God on high,

and let no light shine on it.

Let the darkness and utter gloom claim that day for its own.

Let a black cloud overshadow it,

and let the darkness terrify it.

Let that night be blotted off the calendar,

never again to be counted among the days of the year,

never again to appear among the months.

Let that night be childless.

Let it have no joy.

Let those who are experts at cursing—

whose cursing could rouse Leviathan—

curse that day.

Let its morning stars remain dark.

Let it hope for light, but in vain;

may it never see the morning light.

Curse that day for failing to shut my mother’s womb,

for letting me be born to see all this trouble.

“Why wasn’t I born dead?

Why didn’t I die as I came from the womb?

Why was I laid on my mother’s lap?

Why did she nurse me at her breasts?

Had I died at birth, I would now be at peace.

I would be asleep and at rest.

I would rest with the world’s kings and prime ministers,

whose great buildings now lie in ruins.

I would rest with princes, rich in gold,

whose palaces were filled with silver.

Why wasn’t I buried like a stillborn child,

like a baby who never lives to see the light?

For in death the wicked cause no trouble,

and the weary are at rest.

Even captives are at ease in death,

with no guards to curse them.

Rich and poor are both there,

and the slave is free from his master.

“Oh, why give light to those in misery,

and life to those who are bitter?

They long for death, and it won’t come.

They search for death more eagerly than for hidden treasure.

They’re filled with joy when they finally die,

and rejoice when they find the grave.

Why is life given to those with no future,

those God has surrounded with difficulties?

I cannot eat for sighing;

my groans pour out like water.

What I always feared has happened to me.

What I dreaded has come true.

I have no peace, no quietness.

I have no rest; only trouble comes.”

con los reyes y con los consejeros de la tierra, que edifican para sí lugares desolados;

que esperan la muerte, y ella no llega, aunque la buscan más que a tesoros enterrados;

No he tenido paz, no me aseguré, ni estuve reposado; no obstante me vino turbación.

Should we as Christians be depressed? Should we ever wish we were not born? Should we wish that God would kill us?

Job did!

Job was a man of God, and he wished these things.

Why is it when we have deep despair that some people feel they need to tell us that we shouldn’t because we are not supposed to? Does it say in the Word of God that we shouldn’t feel deep despair? I have never seen it.

It is what we do with these feelings that matters. If we run out and steal to provide, we are wrong. If we try to commit suicide, that is against God’s Word. If we fall on our knees and cry out to our Father in Heaven and our Lord Jesus, Yes, that is what we must do.

God allows us to go through storms and to feel deep despair. We will then realize all we really have is Him. He is the only one who can help…and HE WILL.

If you are feeling deep despair over health, finances, family issues, or anything else, it is ok–tell God what you are feeling. You can have those feelings, but tell God and ask for Him to help.

The next time someone who thinks they know that God and the Bible says you shouldn’t feel these feelings, send them to the book of Job. Ask them if they think they are more of, or even as much as a man or woman of God as Job was. He felt the feelings and voiced it. God listened. Jobs friends tried to tell him the same things your friends may be trying to tell you.

Read the end of the book of Job. The friends were reprimanded by God and Job was blessed immeasurably.

It is ok–you can feel despair.

Matthew 13: 47-50

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

We sometimes wonder why God doesn’t just wipe out the evil ones. The answer is here right from the lord Jesus’ lips. We are all gathered together like fish. Maybe the sharks will learn something from the dolphins and will change their ways. If they don’t, at the end they will be cast away. Are we sharks, or dolphins? Are we goldfish or piranhas? God’s Word can give us the path to be the one who will be kept. Staying away from His Word and not accepting His Son Jesus will get us thrown into hell.

Ephesians 6:12

View the inspirational video One Solitary Life by Simple Truths

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

We must always remember this scripture when we are tempted to argue or debate against people who are lost. We are not battling against people, but against forces that control them. We can only defeat these forces through prayer and the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Give the battle to God, and you will win!

Psalm 12

1 Save, O Lord, for the godly one is gone;
for the faithful have vanished from among the children of man.
2 Everyone utters lies to his neighbor;
with flattering lips and a double heart they speak.

3 May the Lord cut off all flattering lips,
the tongue that makes great boasts,
4 those who say, “With our tongue we will prevail,
our lips are with us; who is master over us?”

5 “Because the poor are plundered, because the needy groan,
I will now arise,” says the Lord;
“I will place him in the safety for which he longs.”
6 The words of the Lord are pure words,
like silver refined in a furnace on the ground,
purified seven times.

7 You, O Lord, will keep them;
you will guard us from this generation forever.
8 On every side the wicked prowl,
as vileness is exalted among the children of man.

I cry this same prayer today Lord. I cry for the innocent people in Syria that have so much chaos around them. I cry out Oh Lord, that you would awaken the people who are walking in sin and wickedness, that You would put items or people in their path that would help them repent and turn to You. God, You are so Great and Mighty. Your will be done. Yes, only Your will be done.

Habakkuk 1:4

So the law is paralyzed, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous; so justice goes forth perverted.

I have wondered how such evil people get away with their crimes. This scripture shows us. We must trust God. His justice will be mighty and enduring. His justice will be true. Not much longer and the wicked will be able. Theirs is only a short time.

Psalm 36:5-12

5 Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the clouds.
6 Your righteousness is like the mountains of God;
your judgments are like the great deep;
man and beast you save, O Lord.

7 How precious is your steadfast love, O God!
The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
8 They feast on the abundance of your house,
and you give them drink from the river of your delights.
9 For with you is the fountain of life;
in your light do we see light.

10 Oh, continue your steadfast love to those who know you,
and your righteousness to the upright of heart!
11 Let not the foot of arrogance come upon me,
nor the hand of the wicked drive me away.
12 There the evildoers lie fallen;
they are thrust down, unable to rise.

This song, or prayer unto God is mighty and sure. God does have us under His wing and in His shadow. He will supply all of our needs when we put our trust in Him. The evil men cannot come against us with God protecting us. We just need to allow Him to be our Lord.

Job 31:2-6

2For what portion of God is there from above? and what inheritance of the Almighty from on high?

3Is not destruction to the wicked? and a strange punishment to the workers of iniquity?

4Does not he see my ways, and count all my steps?

5If I have walked with vanity, or if my foot has hurried to deceit;

6Let me be weighed in an even balance that God may know my integrity.

Does God really owe us anything? Sometimes, we as people think He does. We owe God everything. I ask You my Father, to keep me and show me the path You desire for me. If I am misled or do wrong in Your eyes, please set me straight. I ask Your blessings my Lord, but most of all, let Your will be done.

Psalm 37:23-31

23The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delights in his way.

24Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholds him with his hand.נ

25I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

26He is ever merciful, and lends; and his seed is blessed.ס

27Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for ever more.

28For the LORD loves judgment, and forsakes not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

29The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.פ

30The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue talks of judgment.

31The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

y no he visto al justo desamparado,
ni a su descendencia mendigando pan.
26 Todo el día es compasivo y presta,
y su descendencia es para bendición.
27 Apártate del mal y haz el bien,
y tendrás morada para siempre.
28 Porque el SEÑOR ama la justicia,
y no abandona a sus santos;
31 La ley de su Dios está en su corazón;
no vacilan sus pasos.

What a wonderful promise from my Father! He upholds us through hard and rough waters. He is always with us. This is Good Friday and we have a great and wonderful God in three persons-Our Father, His Son: Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit who dwells within us. Praise our Triune God! Worship at His Holy hill. Thanks be to God!

Ezekiel 18:20-23

20The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

21But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. 22All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live. 23Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?

We can turn from sin and be righteous. God declared it even before Jesus came to the Earth to be our sacrifice. If we turn away from sin and live in a righteous path, always in prayer and listening to God, He will bless us with His best blessings and best of all…Eternal Life with Him!

Malachi 4:2-3

But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and you shall go forth, and grow up like calves of the stall. And you shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, says the LORD of hosts.

What a great and marvelous promise! All it takes is a reverence to our Father God! Our enemies will fall and the Son will rise to the throne of His glorious Kingdom.
