Acts 6: 2-4

So the Twelve called the whole group of disciples together and said, “It is not desirable for us to neglect messages from God in order to wait on tables. Therefore, brothers, appoint seven men among you who have a good reputation, who are full of the Spirit and wisdom, and we’ll put them in charge of this work. Then we’ll devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”

Así que, los doce convocaron la multitud de los discípulos, y dijeron: No es justo que nosotros dejemos la palabra de Dios, y sirvamos á las mesas. Buscad pues, hermanos, siete varones de vosotros de buen testimonio, llenos de Espíritu Santo y de sabiduría, los cuales pongamos en esta obra. Y nosotros persistiremos en la oración, y en el ministerio de la palabra.

God calls us all to many ministries. As the Word says in the last sentence, we too must devout ourselves to prayer and ministry. Even though I have many things going on, I felt the Holy Spirit telling me to post this morning. That small voice said to just open my Bible and the Word would come. Yes, when I read this scripture again, I completely understand. We have a Powerful and Amazing God. Praise Jesus!

 

Colossians 3: 23-24

Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.

 

Y todo lo que hagáis, hacedlo de corazón, como para el Señor y no para los hombres; sabiendo que del Señor recibiréis la recompensa de la herencia; porque a Cristo el Señor servís.

 

I am a full time freelance writer and author. Sometimes I find myself in much stress as editors decide it isn’t just good enough, while clients are saying it is great. I sometimes want to scream. I then give it to God, and I realize as long as I know I am doing it for Him and through Him, it is GOOD. If we are doing our work for our Lord and Savior, we are following the path He has for us.

Jeremiah 22:13

Woe unto him that builds his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that uses his neighbor’s service without wages, and gives him nothing for his work

Ay del que edifica su casa sin justicia y sus aposentos altos sin derecho, que a su prójimo hace trabajar de balde y no le da su salario.

Manipulation is not a way to get ahead in this world. Many people use manipulation to get what they want. It may work for awhile, but God knows and will make things right.
