Deuteronomy 23:4-5

Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when you came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you. Nevertheless the LORD your God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing unto you, because the LORD your God loved you.

porque no fueron a vuestro encuentro con pan y agua en el camino cuando salisteis de Egipto, y porque alquilaron contra ti a Balaam, hijo de Beor, de Petor en Mesopotamia, para maldecirte. Mas el SEÑOR tu Dios no quiso escuchar a Balaam, sino que el SEÑOR tu Dios te cambió la maldición en bendición, porque el SEÑOR tu Dios te ama.

No matter what others try to do against us, if we are walking in God’s will, He will turn cursing into blessing. He loves us. He wants the very best for us. We must allow Him to be our guide and everything will turn out perfect.

 

 

 

 

 

Deuteronomy 18:9-12

9When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. 10There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, 11Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

9 Cuando entres en la tierra que el SEÑOR tu Dios te da, no aprenderás a hacer las cosas abominables de esas naciones. 10 No sea hallado en ti nadie que haga pasar a su hijo o a su hija por el fuego, ni quien practique adivinación, ni hechicería, o sea agorero, o hechicero, 11 o encantador, o médium, o espiritista, ni quien consulte a los muertos. 12 Porque cualquiera que hace estas cosas es abominable al SEÑOR; y por causa de estas abominaciones el SEÑOR tu Dios expulsará a esas naciones de delante de ti.

It is very clear in the Word of God that we should not follow after things like seances or reading palms and other things like this. The Holy Spirit can and will give us everything we need to know and by trying these other ways, we bring God to a sadness. The future is meant to be known only if God reveals it to us; He will not reveal it through sorcery.
