Jeremiah 35:12-17

Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Go and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will ye not receive instruction to hearken to my words? saith the LORD. The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, that he commanded his sons not to drink wine, are performed; for unto this day they drink none, but obey their father’s commandment: notwithstanding I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye hearkened not unto me. I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me. Because the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father, which he commanded them; but this people hath not hearkened unto me: Therefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken unto them, but they have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not answered.

Entonces vino palabra del SEÑOR a Jeremías, diciendo:  Así dice el SEÑOR de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel: “Ve y di a los hombres de Judá y a los habitantes de Jerusalén: `¿No aprenderéis a escuchar mis palabras?’–declara el SEÑOR.  `Las palabras de Jonadab, hijo de Recab, que mandó a sus hijos de no beber vino, son guardadas. Por eso no beben vino hasta hoy, porque han obedecido el mandato de su padre. Pero yo os he hablado repetidas veces, con todo no me habéis escuchado.  `También os he enviado a todos mis siervos los profetas, enviándolos repetidas veces, a deciros: “Volveos ahora cada uno de vuestro mal camino, enmendad vuestras obras y no vayáis tras otros dioses para adorarlos, y habitaréis en la tierra que os he dado, a vosotros y a vuestros padres; pero no inclinasteis vuestro oído, ni me escuchasteis.  “Ciertamente los hijos de Jonadab, hijo de Recab, han guardado el mandato que su padre les ordenó, pero este pueblo no me ha escuchado.’ Por tanto así dice el SEÑOR, Dios de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel: “He aquí, traigo sobre Judá y sobre todos los habitantes de Jerusalén toda la calamidad que he pronunciado contra ellos, porque les hablé, pero no escucharon, y los llamé, pero no respondieron.

God is a God of mercy and love, but He is also perfect.

God cannot allow evil to persist. Just like the people of Judah who did not listen to God, many humans are also not listening to God. We wonder why all the problems in the world….it is because we have not listened to God. It is because we have taken Him out of our everyday life.

Lets all come back to God. His ways are far above our ways.

There is no situation in our lives that God cannot heal and mend. The key is: we must allow Him in. In some cases, the fixing needs to hurt to achieve the proper care.

God does care….He cares about each one of us.

Jeremiah 51:15-16

He made the earth by His power,

established the world by His wisdom, 

and spread out the heavens by His understanding. 

When He thunders, 

the waters in the heavens are in turmoil,

and He causes the clouds

to rise from the ends of the earth.

He makes lightning for the rain

and brings the wind from His storehouses. 

Él es el que hizo la tierra con su poder, el que afirmó el mundo con su sabiduría, y extendió los cielos con su inteligencia.  Cuando emite su voz, tumulto de aguas se producen en los cielos, y hace subir las nubes de lo último de la tierra; Él hace relámpagos con la lluvia, y saca el viento de sus depósitos.

God is all powerful and we sometimes act as if we have control. We have no control. All is in His hands. As Obama tries to “fix” Syria, we must pray that God does the work. It is not America who needs to “fix” it, God will do the “fixing.” If God’s people will bow to Him and seek His wisdom, all will come out the way it is supposed to. the key is to seek Him. Help others know Him, and we will overcome.

Jeremiah 18:6

O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.

¿No puedo yo hacer con vosotros, casa de Israel, lo mismo que hace este alfarero?–declara el SEÑOR. He aquí, como el barro en manos del alfarero, así sois vosotros en mi mano, casa de Israel.

God can mold us and form us, but when we try to do it our way, we become like clay that is damaged and God can and will crush it and start over. If we allow the Master to work us in His way, we will develop into a magnificent piece of art. Don’t fight the Potter, let Him mold you.

 

 

 

 

Jeremiah 22:13

Woe unto him that builds his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that uses his neighbor’s service without wages, and gives him nothing for his work

Ay del que edifica su casa sin justicia y sus aposentos altos sin derecho, que a su prójimo hace trabajar de balde y no le da su salario.

Manipulation is not a way to get ahead in this world. Many people use manipulation to get what they want. It may work for awhile, but God knows and will make things right.

 

 

Jeremiah 44:4-6

4Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate. 5But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods. 6Wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.

4 “Con todo, os envié a todos mis siervos los profetas repetidas veces, diciendo: `No hagáis ahora esta cosa abominable que yo aborrezco.’ 5 “Pero no escucharon ni inclinaron su oído para apartarse de su maldad, para dejar de quemar sacrificios a otros dioses. 6 “Por tanto, se derramó mi ira y mi furor y ardió en las ciudades de Judá y en las calles de Jerusalén, que fueron convertidas en ruinas y en desolación, como lo están hoy.

These words were not just for back then, they are for now too. Unless mankind starts listening and heeding what God wants, He will destroy all there is. He has allowed man to choose the path he wants to take and many are turning away from God. God has blessed us and many want to claim it was something else. Turn off the TV, put away the sin and deception that is controlling. Pick up the Bible and listen to the men and women of God! Bow down before Him and repent. It is not too late, but it is getting close.

 

 

Jeremiah 17:13-17

O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake you shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters. Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for you are my praise. Behold, they say unto me, Where is the word of the LORD? let it come now. As for me, I have not hastened from being a shepherd to follow you: neither have I desired the woeful day; you know: that which came out of my lips was right before you. Be not a terror unto me: you are my hope in the day of evil.

Oh SEÑOR, esperanza de Israel, todos los que te abandonan serán avergonzados. Los que se apartan de ti serán escritos en el polvo, porque abandonaron al SEÑOR, fuente de aguas vivas. Sáname, oh SEÑOR, y seré sanado; sálvame y seré salvo, porque tú eres mi alabanza. Mira, ellos me dicen: ¿Dónde está la palabra del SEÑOR? Que venga ahora. Pero yo no me he apresurado a dejar de ser tu pastor, ni el día de angustia he anhelado; tú sabes que lo que ha salido de mis labios en tu presencia está. No seas para mí terror; tú eres mi refugio en el día de calamidad.

So many people don’t realize that daily they judge themselves. When they argue against the Word of God, it shows there shame and anguish. It is a defensive mode that people use to try to make themselves right. Jesus is our hope and our way. If we ask for healing, He will heal. If we ask for forgiveness, He will. Don’t hope for the end, it is clear here we shouldn’t. We have work to do and this life we live on Earth can be a blessing or a curse; it is our choice. Seek the Lord and all blessings will multiply! Praise Him!

 

 

Jeremiah 16:17-21

For my eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from my eyes. And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because they have defiled my land, they have filled my inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable and abominable idols. O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the nations shall come unto you from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things in which there is no profit. Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods? Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know my hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The LORD.

Porque mis ojos están puestos sobre todos sus caminos, que no se me ocultan, ni su iniquidad está encubierta a mis ojos. Pero primero, pagaré al doble su iniquidad y su pecado, porque ellos han contaminado mi tierra con los cadáveres de sus ídolos abominables y han llenado mi heredad con sus abominaciones. ¡Oh SEÑOR, fuerza mía y fortaleza mía, refugio mío en el día de angustia! A ti vendrán las naciones desde los términos de la tierra y dirán: Nuestros padres heredaron sólo mentira, vanidad y cosas sin provecho. ¿Puede hacer el hombre dioses para sí? ¡Pero no son dioses! Por tanto, he aquí, voy a darles a conocer, esta vez les haré conocer mi mano y mi poder; y sabrán que mi nombre es el SEÑOR.

God sees all! Everything! Do we actually think we can hide things from Him? For all of those that have done us wrong or any wrong we have done to others, it is known and it will be re payed. We will all bow before our Father and will know that He and only He, is God! It is sad that many just don’t get it and keep on and on with wickedness and evil. We will all bow and worship His Holiness.

 

 

Jeremiah 34:17

Therefore thus says the LORD; You have not hearkened unto me, in proclaiming liberty, everyone to his brother, and every man to his neighbor: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, says the LORD, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.

Por tanto, así dice el SEÑOR: “Vosotros no me habéis obedecido proclamando libertad cada uno a su hermano y cada uno a su prójimo. He aquí, proclamo contra vosotros libertad–declara el SEÑOR– “a la espada, a la pestilencia y al hambre; y haré de vosotros motivo de espanto para todos los reinos de la tierra.

When we make promises before God, He expects us to honor them. He honors His promises! God is all powerful and mighty;why would we tell Him we will do something and go against it? Through my lifetime I have learned to not make any promises unless I can fulfill them. If I cannot, it is better to just say maybe or no. When we really look hard at our lives, all we have is our word and if we can’t honor a promise, why would anyone trust us? I have had attacks from the evil one lately; both my wife and I have; please pray for us and for those who are being used by satan to attack us. Praise You God; praise You Jesus!

 

 

Jeremiah 42:6

Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send you; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.

Sea buena o mala, escucharemos la voz del SEÑOR nuestro Dios a quien te enviamos, para que nos vaya bien cuando escuchemos la voz del SEÑOR nuestro Dios.

No matter what you or others think, if God is calling we must listen and heed. It is for the best even if it doesn’t seem so at first. Sometimes we worry about safety or other things when God is telling us to put our faith in Him. Father God, help me to always listen and follow Your path, not man’s. In Jesus’ name Amen.

 

 

Jeremiah 44:22-23

So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which you have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as it is this day. Because you have burned incense, and because you have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil has happened unto you, as it is this day.

El SEÑOR no pudo soportar más, a causa de la maldad de vuestras obras y a causa de las abominaciones que habíais cometido; por eso vuestra tierra fue convertida en ruinas, objeto de horror y maldición, sin habitantes, como está hoy. Porque quemasteis sacrificios y pecasteis contra el SEÑOR y no obedecisteis la voz del SEÑOR ni anduvisteis en su ley, ni en sus estatutos, ni en sus testimonios, por tanto, os ha sobrevenido esta calamidad, como sucede hoy.

How long will God be able to bear what is happening in the world today? Many of these same things are happening these days and God has been very gracious in not just destroying it all. Will man ever listen and heed the maker of all? Why do we not recognize that if we worship and follow Him, our lives will be good and full? God doesn’t want bad for us; He never has. We have brought it all on ourselves.

Father, please forgive. Please!!!! In Jesus’ name—Please!!!
