Acts 6: 2-4

So the Twelve called the whole group of disciples together and said, “It is not desirable for us to neglect messages from God in order to wait on tables. Therefore, brothers, appoint seven men among you who have a good reputation, who are full of the Spirit and wisdom, and we’ll put them in charge of this work. Then we’ll devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”

God calls us all to many ministries. As the Word says in the last sentence, we too must devout ourselves to prayer and ministry. Even though I have many things going on, I felt the Holy Spirit telling me to post this morning. That small voice said to just open my Bible and the Word would come. Yes, when I read this scripture again, I completely understand. We have a Powerful and Amazing God. Praise Jesus!

Psalm 11

In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?

For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.

If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.

For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

En el SEÑOR me refugio;
          ¿cómo decís a mi alma: Huye cual ave al monte?
          preparan su saeta sobre la cuerda
          para flechar en lo oscuro a los rectos de corazón.
 Si los fundamentos son destruidos;
          ¿qué puede hacer el justo?
 El SEÑOR está en su santo templo, el trono del SEÑOR está en los cielos;
          sus ojos contemplan, sus párpados examinan a los hijos de los hombres.
          y su alma aborrece al que ama la violencia.
 Sobre los impíos hará llover carbones encendidos;
          fuego, azufre y viento abrasador será la porción de su copa.
 Pues el SEÑOR es justo; El ama la justicia;
          los rectos contemplarán su rostro.

There are days when I also feel the wicked and evil are winning. I then realize that God is in control. There partial victory is only for a very short time. Praise God and His Son. It is by Him that we live and breathe. The evil onesshould fear, but through stupidity, they do not.

Ephesians 5: 15-17

Happy Thanksgiving!

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

It is by the Bible, God’s Word and through prayer that we can walk in wisdom. The world and others may try to make us seem like fools, but as long as we stay in Him, He will carry us thru. The days ARE evil.

John 6:27

The Bottom Price

“Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.”

Our gift was eternal life from Jesus our King. These are Words He gave us. Yes we need food for our body, but He will provide that. We need to follow His guidance and seek the food of eternity. The food that God gives us in His Word. By seeking this food, we will have immense blessings. Praise Him.

Ecclesiastes 11:5

As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.

There are those times when we think we completely understand God, and we have the world by the tail. It is usually at that moment when things start to come unraveled and fall apart. Why? Because we don’t have it all down pat! If we did, we wouldn’t be on this Earth. Who are we to question God? Who are we to argue with the way He wants things done? Do we know better? God forbid!

Father God, I ask your Holy forgiveness for the times I think my way is better. Please keep guiding and blessing me. Your way is the only way; the only way to glory and true freedom. Oh Father, thank you for your precious love of me.

1 Corinthians 16:22

FrontierMEDEX Travel Insurance

If anyone doesn’t love the Lord, let him be condemned! May our Lord come!

¡Maranata!

Paul wrote this towards the end of his first letter to the Corinthians. They are very strong words, but needed to be said. there are times we need to hold some of our words back, but other times they need to be strong and with authority. Yes, those that do not love Jesus, they are cursed. We do not need to curse them, because they are cursing themselves. When someone says a stupid joke about Jesus, or takes his name in vain, do we laugh or let it go? We shouldn’t! Jesus is our Lord and Savior. Those people who do such things need to hear the truth. Don’t let our Lord be attacked! That is our responsibility.

Matthew 18: 3-6

Acoustic Guitar Lessons

Then he said, “I tell all of you with certainty, unless you change and become like little children, you will never get into the kingdom from heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom from heaven, and whoever receives a little child like this in my name receives me.” If anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a large millstone were hung around his neck and he were drowned at the bottom of the sea.”

Children are pure and clean at birth. It is we who teach them to sin. Do we understand the implications of doing that? These words from Jesus tell us the penalty. The next time you are considering using bad language, watching a lustful show, or any other thing that does not give glory to God in front of a child, consider this scripture. Children are the future!

Job 3

Start Speaking any Language in 10 Days

At last Job spoke, and he cursed the day of his birth. He said:

“Let the day of my birth be erased,

and the night I was conceived.

Let that day be turned to darkness.

Let it be lost even to God on high,

and let no light shine on it.

Let the darkness and utter gloom claim that day for its own.

Let a black cloud overshadow it,

and let the darkness terrify it.

Let that night be blotted off the calendar,

never again to be counted among the days of the year,

never again to appear among the months.

Let that night be childless.

Let it have no joy.

Let those who are experts at cursing—

whose cursing could rouse Leviathan—

curse that day.

Let its morning stars remain dark.

Let it hope for light, but in vain;

may it never see the morning light.

Curse that day for failing to shut my mother’s womb,

for letting me be born to see all this trouble.

“Why wasn’t I born dead?

Why didn’t I die as I came from the womb?

Why was I laid on my mother’s lap?

Why did she nurse me at her breasts?

Had I died at birth, I would now be at peace.

I would be asleep and at rest.

I would rest with the world’s kings and prime ministers,

whose great buildings now lie in ruins.

I would rest with princes, rich in gold,

whose palaces were filled with silver.

Why wasn’t I buried like a stillborn child,

like a baby who never lives to see the light?

For in death the wicked cause no trouble,

and the weary are at rest.

Even captives are at ease in death,

with no guards to curse them.

Rich and poor are both there,

and the slave is free from his master.

“Oh, why give light to those in misery,

and life to those who are bitter?

They long for death, and it won’t come.

They search for death more eagerly than for hidden treasure.

They’re filled with joy when they finally die,

and rejoice when they find the grave.

Why is life given to those with no future,

those God has surrounded with difficulties?

I cannot eat for sighing;

my groans pour out like water.

What I always feared has happened to me.

What I dreaded has come true.

I have no peace, no quietness.

I have no rest; only trouble comes.”

con los reyes y con los consejeros de la tierra, que edifican para sí lugares desolados;

que esperan la muerte, y ella no llega, aunque la buscan más que a tesoros enterrados;

No he tenido paz, no me aseguré, ni estuve reposado; no obstante me vino turbación.

Should we as Christians be depressed? Should we ever wish we were not born? Should we wish that God would kill us?

Job did!

Job was a man of God, and he wished these things.

Why is it when we have deep despair that some people feel they need to tell us that we shouldn’t because we are not supposed to? Does it say in the Word of God that we shouldn’t feel deep despair? I have never seen it.

It is what we do with these feelings that matters. If we run out and steal to provide, we are wrong. If we try to commit suicide, that is against God’s Word. If we fall on our knees and cry out to our Father in Heaven and our Lord Jesus, Yes, that is what we must do.

God allows us to go through storms and to feel deep despair. We will then realize all we really have is Him. He is the only one who can help…and HE WILL.

If you are feeling deep despair over health, finances, family issues, or anything else, it is ok–tell God what you are feeling. You can have those feelings, but tell God and ask for Him to help.

The next time someone who thinks they know that God and the Bible says you shouldn’t feel these feelings, send them to the book of Job. Ask them if they think they are more of, or even as much as a man or woman of God as Job was. He felt the feelings and voiced it. God listened. Jobs friends tried to tell him the same things your friends may be trying to tell you.

Read the end of the book of Job. The friends were reprimanded by God and Job was blessed immeasurably.

It is ok–you can feel despair.

Colossians 1:9-12

First, my apologies to you who regularly read and follow this blog. I have not posted for awhile. I will try to get back on schedule. God bless you all.
Finding Joy Inspirational Movie

9For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; 12Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

It is by prayer that we all survive. We think that so many other things keep us surviving, but the fact comes down to prayer. God is our provider, our comfort and our salvation. He is our life force and thru prayer we are moving and living. Let us pray for each other and give thanks to God. That is what we are here to do.

Philippians 4:11-13

Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

Our contentment doesn’t come from money or material items. It doesn’t come from other people; the only contentment we can have all comes from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. No matter the situation, I will praise Him and glory in His mercy for us. It is through Him that we have life and love. Praise our wonderful God!
